Types of LVT

There are several different types of luxury vinyl tile (LVT); glue down, click, rigid core click, and gravity plank. The versatility of the LVT will help you choose which option is best for many different installations.

Glue-down planks can be flexible or rigid planks and are some of the most durable in the industry. They are commonly used in commercial settings such as banks, hospitals, and corporate.

Rigid core click planks are commonly used in residential. They are easy to install and do not require glue or adhesive. Rigid core LVT clicks together with a locking system and often has an acoustic backing making it quiet and comfortable. It can be installed over other floorings like ceramic tile or sheet vinyl making for an easier installation process.

Gravity planks are a heavily weighted plank that requires no clicking together or gluing down. They are very durable and usually over 4mm in thickness. They typically have a heavy wear layer and are an easy installation.
